Description

EMY is the Interreg Italy-Austria project involving museums and territories in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Tyrol to promote cross-border cultural heritage as a lever for tourism, economic and social development. At its heart are young people – in particular Generation Z – and a new way of experiencing culture: experiential, digital, creative and connected to the landscape.

EMY aims to transform museums into spaces for innovation, training and collaboration with businesses and artists, strengthening their role as centres of content, services and experiences. With concrete actions for slow mobility, the deseasonalization of tourism and a Cross-border Learning Experience between Maniago, Montebelluna and Tyrol, EMY looks to the future of sustainable and inclusive cultural tourism.

The Municipality of Maniago is leading the project with the participation of the Museum of Blacksmithing and students from the “Evangelista Torricelli” high school in Maniago and “Il Tagliamento” high school in Spilimbergo. Other partners include the Municipality of Montebelluna and the Civic Museum of Natural History and Archaeology, which will involve students from the local high schools “Primo Levi” and “Einaudi - Scarpa”. The aiku - Arte Impresa Cultura centre of the Ca' Foscari University Foundation will contribute its know-how by providing scientific support for museum innovation projects, alongside the University of Applied Sciences FH Kufstein Tirol, which will involve two Tyrolean museums: the Tiroler Landesmuseen Betriebsgesellschaft (Tyrolean Landscape Museum) and the Ötztaler Museen (Ötztal Valley Museums).
