Description

The project, presented as part of the CREATIVE EUROPE program, is led by the City of Bassano del Grappa and developed in partnership with Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, Itkampnagel Internationale Kukturfabrik (Germany), Plaisir Offrir (France), La Briqueterie Centre De De Developpement Choregraphique Du Val De Marne Association (France), Lietuvos Sokio Informacijos Centras (Lithuania), Tanec Praha Z.U. (Czechia), and Fondazione Fitzcarraldo. The project is aimed at the development and testing of innovative dance practices, implementation, transfer and dissemination of knowledge and experience in European regions, to support the recovery of dance artists and organizations involving people living with Parkinson's and other mobility disorders, in light of the COVID-19 crisis. Dance Well supports the professional development of dancers and dance organizations that engage people living with Parkinson's, or other movement disorders, with dance. The project expands their skills, competencies and knowledge to broaden their opportunities to become meaningful to the societies in which they live, contributing their innovative approaches to well-being and social cohesion. DanCE Well builds and nurtures a European community of choreographers and artists, professionals working in dance organizations, researchers, academics, and scientists with new knowledge to advance the art form of dance, promoting societal resilience, engagement of citizens with neurological and movement disorders, inclusion of marginalized groups, and support intergenerational and intercultural dialogues.
