Description

“DART∀HUMANITY - Art and creativity for the society of tomorrow” (acronym: DART4H), in which Ca' Foscari University Foundation is a partner, is a project funded by the Erasmus + 2021-2027 program for education, training, youth and sport. The overall objective of DART∀ is to define, implement, and validate the STEAM∀H methodology developed by the lead CEU Universidad Cardenal Herrera of Valencia, which aims to replace traditional face-to-face teaching and learning techniques with STEAM pedagogical approaches by including skills associated with creativity and the arts, such as lateral thinking, communication, and inclusion. In fact, the STEAM∀H interdisciplinary teaching approach integrates the arts (A) and humanities (H) with other technical and scientific disciplines: science (S), technology (T), engineering (E), and mathematics (M). A new teaching perspective that promotes the adaptation of educational systems to current social challenges, particularly with regard to sustainable development, which requires skills related to creativity, design and innovation. The partners' role will be to evaluate, validate and promote this methodology.

Expected outcomes include:

  • The development of Guidelines for the introduction of STEAM methodology in university curricula and integration with the SDGs;
  • The development of a Methodological Manual for evaluating projects implemented through a micro-credential ecosystem;
  • The development of a guide for STEAM projects in university education with examples that integrate the SDGs and the other goals;
  • Training/learning activities aimed at university teachers;
  • Implementation of 5 Pilot Projects in different EU countries;
  • Development of online guides aimed at managers, policy makers and stakeholders with interests in implementing STEAM methodologies in universities;
  • Implementation of national events to disseminate results.

Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari will be engaged in providing feedback to the methodological framework, coordinating activities to develop the eGuides, and promoting this approach in the Italian context as an Ambassador.
