Description

Modsen (Modsen “MOdel of Saving electric ENergy from organic waste fermentation) is a research project winner of the Ministry of Ecological Transition's call for tender for energy efficiency. The project, worth a total of 1,052,000 euros and lasting 36 months, is promoted by Veritas S.p.A. in partnership with the University of Padua and the Ca' Foscari University. The research concerns the energy valorization of wastewater and organic waste through their biological conversion to hydrogen with techniques for improving the dark fermentation process.

The Center for Sustainability - C4S of Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari is involved in supporting the lead partner Veritas S.p.A. in continuity with the “Ecopolymers” and” Phoenix-P2G” projects developed in previous years, and supports transfer activities alongside the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics of Ca' Foscari, which develops research activities.
