C4S
Center for Sustainability
In recent decades, the need to integrate sustainable development principles into the policies and strategies of countries and individual businesses and organizations has become increasingly evident. The common goal is to promote a new development and business model (People, Planet and Profit) that includes respect for communities (social sustainability), environmental protection (environmental sustainability) and economic efficiency (economic sustainability) through the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Areas of Expertise
In this context, starting from the skills and experiences developed within Ca' Foscari University, the Center for Validation and Technological Support for Sustainability - C4S (Center For Sustainability), aims to promote sustainability through concrete actions resulting from the integration between the academic-scientific world and the economic-social fabric.
The Centre for Sustainability - C4S carries out applied research projects, technology and knowledge transfer activities, as well as strategic initiatives to achieve the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development goals. C4S is particularly involved in the implementation of quantitative models and tools for measuring sustainability in ESG logic and the validation of innovative technologies in the field of circular economy.
C4S represents an important reference point for the validation of techniques and technologies in the Circular Economy and models for assessing economic, environmental and social impacts in the context of sustainable development. The Centre’s team has sound experience in the quantitative assessment of environmental impacts and risks in the area of pollutant sites and newly formulated substances. C4S also develops, coordinates and implements environmental monitoring plans by applying the latest techniques, including biomonitoring.
The competent, multidisciplinary approach to sustainability is now both a key compliance tool and a strategic lever for value creation and performance improvement.
