Academic community
Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari is a reference point for both the Ca’ Foscari community and the international academic environment for the development of cross-cutting projects. Academic knowledge transfer towards local and international communities strengthens our network and multiplies opportunities for open innovation.
Edizioni Ca’ Foscari
PhD students, researchers, Ca Foscari-affiliated teachers and teachers from institutions abroad can address Edizioni Ca’ Foscari for the publishing of books and journals according to the highest standards of Open Access publishing. Our catalogue is indexed in the main repositories for academic literature and is immediately accessible free of charge in order to foster the free sharing of knowledge.
Knowledge Transfer
Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari supports knowledge transfer for research developed at Ca’ Foscari, enabling its transformation into opportunities for development and innovation with a cross-cutting approach. Knowledge transfer projects and initiatives are developed with the scientific supervision of Ca’ Foscari teachers and researchers and are carried out in close connection with companies, institutions and professionals. Our projects are either funded through local, national or international public funds or developed to answer specific needs from external customers. Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari supports the promotion of the research results of Ca’ Foscari with the aim of disseminating the ideas of researchers, patents developed within the University and the skills of University spin-offs. Thanks to our mediation, applied research requests from companies lead to the joint development of patents and new lines of research at the University, as well as to the funding industrial doctorates, doctoral fellowships and research grants.
Centres
Teachers and researchers from Ca’ Foscari can establish sector-specific “Centres” at Fondazione, where they can find administrative support for their projects and activities. Centres are aimed at the transfer and promotion of knowledge and innovation stemming from research carried out within Ca’ Foscari’s Departments and, as such, they design and implement Third Mission initiatives.
Ca’ Foscari Alumni
Ca’ Foscari Alumni was established to gather all Ca Foscari graduates in a widespread network of people and competencies which, generation after generation, represent Ca’ Foscari all around the world. Among Ca’ Foscari Alumni and Alumnae are entrepreneurs, managers, scholars, researchers, teachers and professionals that prove - both in Italy and abroad - the innovation potential of this community. Ca Foscari Alumni’s network lists over 100,000 graduates and 12 local chapters in Milan, Bruxelles, London, Dublin, Paris, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Dubai, Shanghai, Tokyo, San Francisco and New York.
Events and cultural activities
Cooperation with private and public entities allows the realization of events and initiatives included in the annual schedule of cultural events of the city of Venice. Literature, film, music and theater festivals, major events on the themes of strategic innovation and current events, nights festivals dedicated to art and research: a wide range of initiatives that testify to the value of networking between institutions in a unique city.
Knowledge Transfer
Fondazione Università Ca' Foscari has a strong experience in the development and management of innovation projects co-designed with - and to the benefit of - local entities and cultural institutions through private and public funding. We manage projects financed through regional and European funds, working with the Veneto Region and the national agencies of the European Union; we also support public administrations through the promotion of green and digital transformation projects.

Knowledge Transfer
Fondazione can help companies get in touch with Ca’ Foscari in order to elaborate solutions to their needs in the fields of expertise of the Venetian university. We offer academic advisory services from faculty and research teams at the University and involve companies in projects funded through European and regional funds. Projects are developed to address complex applied research needs that require the integration of interdisciplinary expertise.
Ca’ Foscari Challenge School
Ca’ Foscari Challenge School provides access to a wide range of Master’s Higher Education courses for the development of new professional skills and the consolidation of the most required skills in the job market. Companies and institutions can activate partnerships for the co-design of specific modules and/or entire training courses, also providing the possibility of hosting students through internships within the university master's programs.
Contract Certification Commission
Companies can address Fondazione to access the services of contract certification provided by the Contract Certification Commission. This voluntary procedure is aimed at ensuring that contracts are structure- and content-compliant, as well as at limiting potential litigations.

These events, co-designed by Fondazione’s staff and Ca’ Foscari’s teachers and researchers, are the way in which the university opens its doors to the Venetian and international public, engaging it in activities and meetings aimed at promoting the results of Ca’ Foscari’s research and teaching.
Ca’ Foscari Challenge School
The challenge for Ca’ Foscari is providing continuous education to professionals from both the public and the private sector, as well as to entrepreneurs wanting to consolidate their skills and experience to shape new paths for their future. Ca’ Foscari Challenge School - the executive ‘Lifelong Learning’ School of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice - was established to support those professionals through dedicated learning programmes that help develop the most-needed skills in the job market.
