Description

Approaches and working methods are changing, and markets are experiencing increasingly frequent and rapid transformative trends. The digital transition and the implementation of smart manufacturing technologies have significant impacts on businesses and the labour market, which may bring new challenges and risks. The radical change currently affecting the labour market could further hinder the access, retention and qualification of people with disabilities and/or more vulnerable individuals in both social enterprises and for-profit companies. Through the activation of 4 research grants, managed by Ca’ Foscari University, 8 dissemination events and the implementation of a storytelling intervention, the project aims to support social enterprises, particularly type B cooperatives, in the process of digital transformation. It investigates the impact of digital transformation on workers’ wellbeing and on the labour inclusion of more vulnerable individuals in social enterprises and for-profit companies. The project also aims to identify development drivers for the definition of medium- and long-term adaptive and transformative strategies capable of supporting technological innovation and the labour inclusion of vulnerable people in the digital transition.
