The TranspArEEnS Competence Centre for Sustainable Finance is established

Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari announces the launch of the TranspArEEnS Competence Centre, promoted by Professor Monica Billio, with the aim of strengthening the Foundation’s role in technology transfer and in enhancing the value of research in the fields of governance and sustainable finance.

TranspArEEnS – Center for Mainstreaming Transparent Assessment of Governance, Social and Environmental Profiles – stems from the scientific maturity developed in recent years on these topics and from the growing demand emerging from the local area, also in light of the evolving European regulatory framework on sustainable finance. The Centre is intended to serve as a bridge between academic knowledge and the concrete needs of businesses, institutions and stakeholders, transforming models, methodologies and tools developed through research into applied solutions and strategic-operational support.

Its mission is to contribute to the dissemination of a culture of economic and financial sustainability that is measurable, transparent, oriented towards shared value and focused on shaping the future, with particular attention to SMEs and to the assessment of ESG factors, including a focus on energy and energy efficiency. In this sense, Transpareens is designed as an innovation and support hub for the economic ecosystem, dedicated to developing innovative and practical solutions for sustainable governance and finance, capable of identifying and anticipating the economic and social changes accompanying the ongoing transitions.

The Centre will draw on a solid scientific background and significant project experience gained at both European and national levels, which have enabled the development of advanced expertise in data analysis, risk measurement, ESG models and sustainable finance. Fondazione Ca’ Foscari’s Knowledge Transfer Area will be called upon to play an active role in support activities, capacity building, event organisation and the promotion of good practices, project management and project reporting, further consolidating its function as a key link between the University and the local area.

With Transpareens, the Knowledge Transfer Area of the Foundation is therefore enriched by a new centre capable of addressing strategic challenges for the economic and financial system, strengthening our positioning as a qualified actor in the promotion of sustainable and innovative development models that are aligned with the major transitions currently underway.

The Centres of Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari are operational structures that develop applied research, innovation projects and knowledge transfer between the university, businesses, institutions and civil society, with the aim of generating economic, social and cultural impact in the local area.
