CFAE - Applied Economics

The CF Applied Economics Center is a Center for Applied Economic Analysis and Research established at Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia. 
It aims to be a permanent point of reference for knowledge interchange between the academic-scientific world and the local and national economic-social system. 
 

 

 

Areas of Expertise

The CF Applied Economics Center carries out studies based on quantitative economic research applied to cost-benefit analysis, scenario and risk analysis, as well as simulations and optimizations carried out through the use of advanced modeling methodologies.

Activities and services

The Center caters to every business and organization interested in basing their choices on rigorous quantitative analysis, carried out in a highly qualified scientific environment. The activities carried out by the CF Applied Economic Center include: 

  • Economic impact studies with respect to specific phenomena (e.g., migration, climate, demographics)
  • Evaluation of economic policies
  • General economic equilibrium and international trade analysis
  • Cost/benefit analysis
  • Multi-criteria analysis
  • Economic and social scenario development
  • Economic and environmental risk analysis
  • Economic quantification of effects not assessable and measurable by markets
